Founded in 2023, SCG has grown into a private “by referral only” non-sectarian social group for previously married, financially stable seniors.
SCG has always been and will continue to be focused on helping 55+ singles build lasting friendships – not seeking to financially profit from the social needs of SCG Friends.
SCG Dinner (Small-Group as well as All-Group) events are generally held in Long Island New York, welcoming SCG Friends from across Long Island’s Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York City boroughs, Northern New Jersey, Lower Westchester, and Connecticut.
Since inception, SCG social group prioritizes trust, safety, and a shared sense of purpose, one connection and one event at a time.
There is something special about making a new friend.
From the deep fulfillment of raising her children as a single mom, to sharing books with curious grandchildren, to the rewarding lifelong learning of her work as a financial advisor, and her richly cultural travels to dozens of countries—one thread runs through it all: Dee was born a “Connector.”
Selectively linking people, Dee sees you as a whole person, not just as a “single” man or woman following marital transition.
While some “Connectors” can get spread thin or end up doing most of the social labor—healthy “Connectors” set boundaries and don’t force introductions.
SCG (formerly known as Quality Connections 25 years ago) is a proven business model, but it is not for Dee’s financial profit.
Instead, as SCG grows, Dee intends for SCG to become a Partnership, of which all SCG Friends who’ve helped build SCG - since our first event on Dee’s 65th birthday in June 2023 - will be offered SCG Partnership shares without cost. SCG Partnership members will then choose to build, trademark, and grow into whatever SCG Friends collaboratively choose.
